Christine Espinosa-Erlanda

Christine Espinosa-Erlanda, an award-winning architect with over 20 years of experience, has transformed the architectural landscapes of the Middle East and Asia. As an Associate Director at Godwin Austen Johnson Architects, Christine spearheads innovative projects spanning masterplans, hospitality, retail, residential, educational, and heritage sectors.

She complements her architectural acumen with a Master’s in Business for Architecture and Design from IE University, Madrid. Christine’s leadership extends beyond design—she mentors aspiring architects through GAJ’s internship program and contributes to industry advancements as a board member for Cityscape WIRE and Heriot-Watt University’s Architecture Industry Board.

Recognized among Design Middle East’s 30 Most Influential Architects of 2024, Christine has received numerous accolades, including the TFT Architect of the Year Award (2019) and Woman in Construction Professional of the Year (2020). Her passion for art and storytelling is evident in her illustrations, notably for Pearl Diver’s Son, and her international art accolades. Christine’s dedication to sustainability, mentorship, and innovation continues to shape and inspire the global architecture community.
